We’ve copied & pasted here a couple of comments from the saxontheweb forum:

jmathesonjr: TresX4 Barcelona, Spain
During my three days in Barcelona, Spain, I was able to visit TresX4 a Woodwind Repair and Sales shop.

I spent about a half hour there. This place is amazing. It is on a small street off the Las Ramblas. The shop is hard to find if you are not looking for it. You have to be let in by ringing a buzzer. The store is on the second floor. It appears to have been at one time an apartment.

I must admit that I do not speak Spanish and the people at TresX4 do not speak English, but their Fernando’s English is better than my Spanish. I got a full tour of the shop. The two that shown me around seemed proud of their business and proud that I was there to see it. They were some of the friendliest people I had met in Spain, France, England and the US.

I discovered that they still have about five boxes of the Rico Jazz reeds (not the inferior Jazz Select) for Baritone Saxophone. I bought a box. The US dollar was not that good against the Euro. It was trading at $1.50 for 1 Euro. I would have bought all they had, but still had to travel to Paris and the UK so I left with just the one.

I am posting this to let all who are interested to know that I was impressed with TresX4. Despite the langauage barrier and high Euro, these guys are one of the best places I have ever dealt with for reeds and saxophone related items.

If you are interested in getting a hold of them, the email address is fernando@tresx4.net and the website is www.tresx4.net. Just the one caveat: Communication in Spanish is best.

I spent an entire day trying saxophones there, and only bought a FL ligature for a friend. They were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended…
